Things to Do Over Labor Day Weekend in & Around Orlando on a Celeste Getaway

Orlando marks the spiritual close of summer in style, even though, of course, warm postcard-perfect weather keeps on keeping on here in our subtropical playground well past Labor Day.

Many of the area’s iconic amusement and theme parks are cooking away over Labor Day weekend with special events. Take, for instance, the SeaWorld Craft Beer Festival, which runs through Labor Day proper (Monday, September 4th) and offers 100-plus delicious craft brews complete with food pairings: from street corn and tacos to pulled-pork sliders, bratwurst (plus pretzel-wrapped bratwurst), and the marvelous concoction called “boozy s’mores.” (And if you’re not feeling the brewskis per se, fear not: The festival also pours all manner of other refreshing beverages, including wine, cocktails, and seltzers.)

Over at Walt Disney World, meanwhile, you can do some culinary globe-hopping courtesy of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which parties along all the way to November 18th this year. Stroll your way between numerous Global Marketplaces to taste specialty and signature cookery representing six continents, with dishes hailing from Japan to Kenya to Brazil to France.
